We put in on our free day from tech, we decided to cruise on down to the Arnold to refresh our rafting knowledge and get back into it after a long break from it. We practiced, ferry glides, eddie turns and also flipping and re-flipping a raft. Ended up being a sick day on the river and was helpful for all participants.

Todays rafting experience was souly about practicing flipping and getting people in the boat sufficiently and quickly in order for a safe rescue. Also how quick re-flipping a raft was going to be.

Today we were practicing guiding efficiently on the river and making smooth moves throughout the river trip. Also flipping the raft, unconscious swimmer rescues along with throw bagging ability. There was also a log stuck across 'Buffer Rock' this made for a great practice rescue scenario. We set up an anchor around a tree on the bank and used two connected throw bags to pull it off the rock and make sure we got it to the side safely so it remained out of the water.

We put in at Milltown Bridge looking forward to the day ahead. We went through safety talks and also paddle talks. We made our way into the gorge, and just as we were coming out of the gorge we stopped and performed a tethered raft to refresh our skills on this rescue. We also practiced some swimming across the river. Managed to sink the nose of the raft in a hole a couple of times which made for that extra entertainment! All round good day.
